Roberta’s Sangria Margarita | Made with fresh cilantro simple syrup & jalepeno juice

Warm weather means it’s time to bring back one of our favorite OG recipes! If you grow your own cilantro, take advantage of this opportunity to make a sweet cilantro simple syrup! Herbal simple syrups are great mixers for cocktails, teas and lemonade…but, our favorite is when it’s used in combination with Tequilla and lime!

ROBERTA’S SANGRIA MARGARITA

INGREDIENTS | In a pitcher mix together all ingredients and let sit for an hour in the refrigerator to chill. Give it a stir before serving.

1 cup Reposado Tequilla

1 cup Margarita lime mixer

1 cup Cilantro simple syrup*

1 bottle Sauvignon Blanc

2 oranges, juiced

1 lime, juiced

2 tablespoons pickled Jalapeno juice (or to taste)

Sliced lime, oranges, and jalapeno for garnish

*How to Make Cilantro simple syrup:

Combine 2 cups white sugar, 2 cups water and 4 bundles fresh Cilantro. Bring to boil, reduce by half pour into an air-tight container and chill.

Make the Cilantro simple syrup a day in advance so it has time to chill!
